Caregiving is challenging. Many times when adult children become re-involved in the lives of older parents emotions are high and deception common because of longstanding issues with communication skills. Adult children see a clear path or need for the care of their parents. The parents disagree. Because relationships have been non-existent or strained situations where change is involved are challenging. Rushing, pushing or hiding information is disrespectful in any relationship but especially in relationships between adult children and parents because parents still see their children as children.
